Affiliate links on this site are routed through addresses beginning with /go/. They carry rel="sponsored" and they are labelled where they appear, so you always know before you click that the link is commercial. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay going direct — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.

Contractor referrals

Where an article offers to connect you with local contractors, we are paid a referral fee by a third-party contractor network when you submit a request. That fee is paid by the network, not by you, and it is paid whether or not you go on to hire anyone. The contractors you are matched with are selected by the network — we do not choose them, vet them individually, or guarantee their work. Get multiple quotes and verify licensing and insurance yourself.

Display advertising

What money does not buy

  • No advertiser, retailer, manufacturer, or contractor network sees content before it publishes, or has any right to review, approve, or change it.
  • A product is never recommended because it pays a higher commission. Where a cheaper non-affiliate option is better, the article says so plainly.
  • Cost ranges are never adjusted at a partner's request, and lead-network pricing data is never used to build them.
  • We do not sell links, do not publish sponsored posts, and do not accept guest articles.
